Hanging around in Denver

Get ready for a lot of photos! Here are a bunch of photos from just hanging around the house with Grandma and Grandpa.

Ezra's funny walk

For some reason Brandon taught Ezra to do a funny walk, and it turns out that it is the cutest thing ever! He waddles and lifts his right leg high in the air, and then puts it down and starts all over. Very cute.

Christmas in Colorado

This Christmas we went to Colorado to be with Grandma and Grandpa Swierenga- (Cris, Andy and Josh too!) It was a wonderful Christmas and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks stay!( We were supposed to be there for a week, but we missed our flight and stayed an extra 5 days). Chloe and Ezra loved being spoiled by their Grandma and Grandpa and loved being in the company of 2 dogs- Harper and Mishy-Sue. Chloe particularly loved Mishy, and she spent most of the 2 weeks outside playing with her. Ezra got sick for most of the vacation, but he's a trooper and was still full of smiles. Bran and I got to go on lots of dates while Grandma and Grandpa babysat- what a treat!!! WE had a big Swierenga Christmas get together/gift exchange on the 23rd and Chloe and Ezra had a blast playing with all of their cousins. On Christmas day we opened some (there were TONS) of gifts at Gramdma and Grandpa's, and then headed over to Aunt Cristin and Uncle Josh's for the rest of the day where we had a delicious dinner. After Christmas was over, we enjoyed relaxing and also celebrated Chloe's 3rd birthday on the 28th. How is Chloe already 3???? WE miss Colorado and our family already and thank you Carloyn and Terry for EVERYTHING!!!!

A lovely morning shot, but unfortunately this is the only picture of the two of us on Christmas!!

Chloe's Christmas present opening strategy was to open a gift, play with it for 10 minutes, and carry on. It was an all day event just to finish opening Chloe's presents!!

Chloe got so excited about her Princess PJ's that she ripped her clothes and got dressed in her new pj's in front of everyone.
After all the presents were open, we went upstairs to play ping pong and Ezra loved playing under the table!

Christmas Caroling

This Christmas season, we hosted a Christmas Caroling party and it was such a great time! We had about 35 people come over and then went caroling on our street. It was a seasonally chilly night, so the kids were bundled and there was hot chocolate and apple cider waiting for us when we returned! It was a great way to bring in the Christmas spirit and to gather together our friends before (most) of us left L.A for the holidays.

Brandon goes to Portugal

After about a week of work at the Christmas tree lot, Bran got bored and decided to take a little vacation by himself to Portugal. Just kidding. He booked a Peugot commercial which filmed in Portugal- poor guy!!! The company flew him first class and he stayed in the hotel that Madonna stays in when she visits. He thought that Portugal was beautiful and only wished that he had more time to sight see and explore. And as much as I wanted to go with him, there was just no way I could go, so I braved 5 nights alone (well, with the kids, but they don't offer much protection for me in home invasion -type situations). Bran had a great time and I survived 5 nights of terror. I have to thank Emily and Doug for moving next door, or else I don't think I could have made it! They made sure to keep their phones by their beds and I made random emergency tests to make sure their phones were on and that they were answering!!! It was fun to be with my kids alone, and we listened to much more Christmas music than we would have if Bran had been here!
