Best Buds

After all the abuse (physical and emotional) Ezra took from Chloe his first year and a half of life, I never would have imagined that Chloe and Ezra would become such great little buddies! They play together and often cuddle while watching TV or hold hands while walking down the street to our friends' house. If you don't believe me (and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't), here's PROOF!!!

Blond to Brunette

In effort to save money, I sacrificed my golden locks (roughly costs $200 every 3 months) for my 'natural' brown. I ended loving it!!!

Summer Days

Here are a few pics from the summer. Grandma and Grandpa came to visit in their camper. Now every time Chloe sees a camper, she says- "Look! A camper!". We had a ton of fun in our pool, and Chloe and Ezra are both fearless swimmers. The summer ended with a perfect family vacation to Chazy Lake and Montreal. The Next post will be a long one which will cover our 3 week vacation!!!

Horseback Riding

Last weekend, we had the most surreal experience of horseback riding on Runion Canyon with Dave and Simone. Pace, who is Simone's beautiful horse, quickly became acquainted with Chloe and she shocked us all by being brave enough to ride him all by herself! Ezra just loved running around, chasing Bailey , (Simone's pitt bull), and pouring fly repellant over his face- (which led to an ER visit). It was gorgeous on the top of Runion; which overlooks all of Los Angeles, and it was one of those moments which reminded me just how much I love L.A.

Montreal: Part 4

The first exciting event that took place on our vacation was seeing Phil for the first time in 2 years!!! He was at the airport to pick us up and it was really emotional and wonderful to see my baby brother after so long. He filled us in on his 2 year mission to Houston, Texas, (where he spoke primarily Spanish and learned it perfectly!) and met Ezra for the first time. On the way 'home' we stopped in at one of Montreals greatest restaurants. Smoked Meat Petes. It's a greasy hole in the wall, but it's the most delicious sandwhich in the world. We spent a couple of days at mum's house and then took off to Chazy. Here are some Montreal memories...

Chazy Lake- Steph and Rivers 'got married/are having a baby' ceremony: Part 3

One of the main reasons for going to Chazy Lake was to celebrate Steph and Rivers marriage with all those who didn't get to Oregon- which was everyone except Mum and I!!! Jimmy Phil's was nice enough to let us use his cottage for the event and Mum also rented Mary's cottage as there were lots of us staying at Chazy for at least a week. Rivers wonderfully sweet mother, Julie and his brothers, Aaron and Dallin came to Chazy for the celebration as well. Tons of friends came down to celebrate as well, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable and wonderful Chazy lake experiences ever. I wish Dad could have been there!!!! We spent the day skiing and then at night we had a BBQ and little ceremony. Steph's friends who were assigned as 'bridesmaids' (which included Marc) each prepared a special story or song for Steph. As we sat in a big circle, Meghan, Marc, Chelsea, Rosie and Vanessa each presented emotional and well prepared thoughts and memories which brought most of us to tears. Rivers really did us in with a special wedding song he had written for Steph which he sang as he played the guitar. There was tons of great food and music and the night ended with a big bonfire. Rivers, Aaron, Dallin and Rosie sang and it really was a special night.
