Oakville, Toronto and an abulance...

So things got off to a pretty rocky start when I started throwing up a few hours before our flight to Toronto. I threw up at home, in the car ride to the airport, in the airport and made it to the Air Canada gate until I threw the towel in and surrendered to my sickness. I literally couldn't stand up without blacking out and I physically couldn't make it onto the plane unless someone carried me (and Bran already had Summer, Chloe, Ezra, 2 backpacks, 2 carry - ons bags and my diaper bag to take care of!!!!). An ambulance was called for me and instead of heading to Toronto, I was stuck with an IV in the airport (which the kids found pretty amazing- especially Ezra who yelled out 'Oh my GOSH!!!' as the needle went in) and then taken to the Marina Del Rey hospital. Little change of plans!!! All joking aside, it really was TERRIBLE!!!! I was sooooo sick and I was freaking out because I couldn't nurse Summer as they wouldn't let her in the ER room. Not to mention I was worried sick about bran's job as he had a meeting to get to the next day! Jon Heder picked Bran and the kids up to take them home and I was left alone in a tiny little room hooked up to an IV. It would seem as though things couldn't get any worse, but they did. As soon as bran got home, HE started throwing up!!! All the kids went next door to Emily's and I had a meltdown. (too be continued for whoever reads this. I have to get to sleep!)

Ezra's Birthday Party

Ezra turning 3 feels like a big deal for me for some reason. We will be away for his birthday as we will be in Toronto for Bran's filming of 'Against the Wall', and I wanted to make sure his birthday was properly celebrated and not forgotten. Ezra invited his closest friends, we rented a Batman bounce house, got some good food and threw a really fun party for my little guy. The first thing Ezra wanted to do was to open all of his presents and we let him! A little unconventional, but it was his special day and we let him call the shots. The only downer was when Ezra full on choked on his carrots at dinner time and it gave us all a really big scare. Fortunately, he projectile vomited those orange suckers out after a few scary silent moments. He felt fine by cake time and was very excited about everyone singing him happy birthday. Happy Birthday Ez!!! xoxoxo

Cutest baby - EVER!!!

Ok, so maybe I'm a little biased, but isn't this the cutest baby ever????

Autumn in L.A

We are about to head off to Toronto for 3 weeks and although I am very excited, I have to say that i am missing my favorite time of year in L.A. There are leaves are covering the ground and the temperature is perfect- not to hot, not too cold. Yesterday as we were walking back from Chloe's hair cut ay Kauila's, the kids stopped to play in the leaves and we had an impromptu photoshoot. I didn't get any of Summer as she was attached to me in the baby bjorn, but she certainly was adorable in her knitted hat and jacket.

Tapia Bothers Pumpkin Patch

It has turned into an annual event that we go to the Tapia Brother's Pumpkin Patch every year. It's really close by and the kids love it. This year I went with Alli as both of our husbands were busy ( Bran was at the gym working on his hot bod getting camera ready, and Sean working Photobooth). We indulged ourselves with hot dogs, kettlecorn and candy to make the outting complete. Gotta love this time of year!!!

Halloween at The Heders

For some reason, Halloween is never one of those holidays I look forward to. Don't get me wrong- I don't dread it or have any reason to dislike it, I just don't get excited about it. BUT, I have to say that tonight was so much fun and the kids were really adorable to watch. We went to the Heder's for a potluck dinner and then went Trick or Treating around their amazing neighborhood. It was really fun and I have to say that I am now going to make sure I get a little more excited for Halloween from now on! Ezra and Chloe were literally running from house to house and their excitement was infectious. I had Summer attached to me in the baby bjorn and she seemed to love the action. Happy Halloween!!!

Day at Dave's

What a day!

It started out a little rough when Ezra threw a HARD toy horse at Chloe's head (which gave Chloe quite a massive blue lump on her forehead) but got a lot better once we got in the car and all 3 kids fell asleep all the way to Dave's house. The kids had a great time playing with Grandpa in the pool and enjoying the being up in beautiful Topanga Canyon for the day. Even Summer went in the pool!

Summer is such an amazingly good baby and I love her so much for it!!! It's hard to believe that she will be 3 months in just one week. I have enjoyed every minute of her and only wish time could slow down so I could enjoy her being this little for longer. Chloe and Ezra are both very sweet with her and love to 'pet' her and hold her. Ezra also loves to scream in her ear and Chloe likes to 'accidentally' bump her, but overall, they are pretty awesome with her.

BTW, Dave and Simone are not in any of the pictures 'cause Dave is in Hawaii visiting Steph (and family) and Phil (and family) and Simone is in Germany. Yes Dave, I took your delicious young coconut from your fridge, hacked it open and enjoyed it.
