Chloe's Princess Party- No Boys Allowed!!!

Although Chloe turned 3 in December, we had a birthday party for her in mid January as to avoid absentees due to Christmas Holidays. Chloe is a perfect mix of a girly girl and tomboy, but when asked what kind of party she wanted, she went with a Princess party. Alas, no boys were allowed and the girls had a great time dressing up like princesses, getting their make-up put on by our very own make-up artist, Sophie Chamberlain and decorating crowns. It was a true success and Chloe is lucky to have so many sweet little friends!

New Years Eve

Every year Bran and I agree that New Years is an over rated night and have had the most fun staying in or hanging out at friends houses playing games. This year, we were in Colorado and had a built in babysitter (Grandma and grandpa) so we went to a house party with Cristin and Josh. We ended up having the best time playing Scattegories and taking crazy pictures of ourselves jumping and spinning. I know, it sounds ridiculous and juvenile, but it was so much fun!

simple blog, but better than nothin'!

I have friends, one in particular, whose blogs might as well be published in the L.A times and win all kinds of awards for writing, creativity or entries on motherhood (you know who you are)!!! My blog, however, is simply to get my photos to my friends and family and maybe throw in a few thoughts here and there. So here are a slew of pictures from December. Enjoy!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Chloe!!!

Happy Birthday Chloe! After Christmas and all the presents you received, it was hard to imagine you being excited about anything. To our surprise, you LOVED the baby doll we got you and loved playing 'mommy'. I asked you what kind of cake you wanted and you said, 'A red cake". So I pretty much emptied a tube or red food coloring into a white cake mix and you were as happy as can be! Maybe you just know me well enough to trust that anything complicated would just frustrate me and end up looking terrible. Anyway, your Daddy and I promised each other from the minute we knew you would be born near Christmas that we would give you a full fledged birthday regardless of the poor timing. WE had a great day and celebrated from the time you woke up and gave you special birthday treatment until the time we put you to bed. We love you Chloe and thank you for blessing us with your hilarious personality and being you. We love you!!!!
